The Story of Dhamaal 4
If you have seen the Dhamal films before it then you are already aware of that. In the eerie Dhamal films, the intent is the same: comedy scenes, but every installment of the Dhamal franchise is enjoyable for its fans. Dhamaal 4 takes that formula and adds a fresh twist.
This time, the gang finds a mysterious treasure map marked with the letter “W.” Simple enough — except the map has been held upside down the whole time, which means it might actually be an “M.” Nobody is quite sure. And nobody really agrees on what to do about it. But that does not stop everyone from running after the treasure anyway.
IN Dhamal 4, the gang finds a mysterious treasure map marked with the letter “W”. The whole crew made a mistake the whole time because they always hold the map the wrong way, which means the real map is “M,” not “W”. All the crew is not sure that which one is correct side of map. In the whole movie, every person wants the treasure for themselves, not for the team. The result is exactly the kind of comedy the Dhamaal franchise does best — big, loud, totally unpredictable, and impossible not to laugh at.

The Dhamaal Franchise — A Quick Look Back
To understand why Dhamaal 4 is such a big deal, it helps to know where this series started.
- Dhamaal (2007) — The film that started it all. Nobody expected it to work as well as it did, but it became an instant comedy classic that people still quote today.
- Double Dhamaal (2011) — The sequel brought the gang back with more madness, more laughs, and more chaos.
- Total Dhamaal (2019) — The biggest installment yet. It earned over ₹228 crore worldwide and proved that the franchise still had commercial power after all these years.
- Dhamaal 4 (2026) — Seven years after Total Dhamaal, the gang is back with a bigger budget, a wilder story, and even more characters joining the madness.
Additionally, the film ends with a tease for Dhamaal 5 — so this franchise is clearly not done yet.
What Critics and Audiences Are Saying
Dhamaal 4 received mixed reviews from critics but a much warmer response from regular audiences.
Bollywood Hungama (3/5): “On the whole, Dhamaal 4 is a decent, clean entertainer that should largely appeal to families and kids. However, the screenplay dips in places, and several gags don’t land with the intended force.”
Audience Reactions on Twitter/X: Fans called it a “laugh riot” while some pointed out weak writing and a few “cringe” AI-generated shots. The general consensus from audiences is that it delivers enough laughs to justify a watch, especially for fans of the franchise.
The film opened to ₹13.72 crore on its first day and has collected ₹46.49 crore worldwide so far — solid numbers for a comedy release in the current Bollywood market.
